Bear crawls and 7th months

Kallee is starting to hit the floor and moving about. She is using the "bear" and "Army" crawl methods combined with the body rolls.

This time though, it did not go so well for Kallee Boo.

Kallee @ Bell Square

Kallee had her first of many overnight shopping excursions this weekend. She, her mother and I went to Bellevue to do the annual Christmas shopping experience. We hit North Bend for about 6 hours and then hit Bell and Lincoln Square for another 6 hours or so. Kallee did very well but was ready to come home by the time we were through. She traveled very well and except she was not a fan of the pass. Her ears must have hurt her.

Kallee loved to try and grab they things that she liked. I do not think that Kallee will ever have a problem telling everyone what she wants.

Merry Christmas From Kallee and the Gebers

Kallee eating Sweet Potatos

Boo's 1st Thanksgiving

Kallee had her first thanksgiving and I believe that it was a big success.  She was very happy and got to move around from person to person.  Kallee even got her first taste of sweet potato's which did not go down very well.  She is still not a big fan of foods.  Rice cereal, peas, and sweet potato's have all been busts so far.  She is still is a bottle baby.

On the other hand, Kallee is learning how to get around.  Kallee can move by rolling on the ground and she does it very well.  She moves all over our family room moving from object to object looking for something to put in her mouth.  Speaking of her mouth, she now has TWO TEETH.  She is starting the second growing phase.

Kallee is no where near the slobber faced person Jayden was... in fact she is relatively drool free at this point...  Her two front bottom teeth give her smile some added features.  When she looks at me and sees me and then gives me that smile, that makes a father very happy.

Now back to the mobile phase.  Kallee is racing around my parents Kitchen as they have a baby walker and she has taken to it like Jayden has taken to his quad.  She is a mover and a shaker... just moving and driving her walker all around.

At this time of the year it is good to reflect on all that has been good,  I am thankful for so many blessings.  Our house is a house full of love and energy... (mostly from the two younger ones).  Kallee was brought to our family, and the blessings she has brought have been awesome.  Jayden is growing and is as active as ever.  We have had many adventures together.. I have a wonderful wife who forgives my bad attitudes and grumpiness.  We have Parents/Grandparents that give of themselves so much and love our children like their own.  Our life is full of hope and love... Thank you Lord for the blessings upon us,,, and help me not to screw it up.

Here is to a great Christmas season and a very Happy new year...

Boo's first Foods...

So far Kallee has not cheer the introduction of her first foods.. She has thrown up all of her rice and oatmeal once and was not enthralled with green beans either. But she is very happy. Mary Ellen Tracy got to hold her at the soccer game and was so impressed with how well her disposition is and how she just seems to be happy all the time. Kallee Boo is very sweet. On Tuesday she had a bad episode of of throw up but just shook it off and smiled and feel asleep. Did not get angry, but rather thought of it as an inconvenience. What a wonderful child.

Kallee is also sitting up by herself. She can do the three point sit and is getting very good at her jumparoo. I do love spending time watching her facial expressions and seeing how she lives in a very happy world.

Kallee caught a cold

Kallee was not a very happy individual this weekend. It made the whole house have issues. She had very large deposits of snots in the ole nose. I had to plunger a lot. It was not fun. The last couple of nights I have been up a lot more than I have wanted to be up.

But I think that she is getting better and we have the humidifier out with a hint of menthol running through it so that is good. She still is smiling and laughing a lot.

Kallee is almost to the point of sitting up on her own... but not quite. Also, I think she is close to cutting teeth.. She definitely is drooling more.

Rice cereal is going a little better... there is a video on the Website with her eating it... very impressive.

Kallee at 6 Months and Rice Cereal

Kallee got her first taste of real food and it was not a big hit, yet. She tried it but was more impressed with that camera and the pictures.

Here is our first attempt

Kallee

I think that Kallee is getting ready to cut teeth. She has not been very happy lately... especially by herself. If you hold her then happy. If not,,, not happy. I could not get her to nap on Sunday and neither did Jayden which made for a very long day.

But she still is a Super Cutie.....

He is a pic. She turns 6 months tommorrow... More to Come.

Kallee is a little over 25 inches

Last night Kallee and I played with the Tape Measure... I had to keep telling her not to put it in her mouth though. She measured a little over 25 inches which puts her in the 50th percentile range which is good. I would like her to be about 5-10 or so.

The reason is purely selfish as I would like to teach her how to block on the on-hand side while hit on the off hand side. (Volleyball). As for her disposition, to say that she is a very happy person is an understatement. She is so good to myself and her mommy. We can take her anywhere and she is happy with it. She has had to endure the cold of the parks for a long time without a complaint.

I am getting very excited about next week as it will be meal time and I get to feed her rice... Do not worry,, we will have the camera out for the event.

Kallee and almost 6 months

Her first half year is almost over and I think she is ready for that to happen. Why do you ask. Because I can see in her eyes that she wants to eat Hamburgers and fries, and Hot dogs, and chips and carrots, and fruit. You just watch her look at you eat and you start feeling guilty. She just watches you go from the plate to your mouth. She is ready.

Kallee is getting so easy to work with too. She is always smiling and loves just to observe and stand. She likes to stand on your legs and watch the kids play especially her brother Jayden. She had the huge giggles at Carl's Jr. on Sunday watching Jayden just play and scream and have fun. She thought he was the funniest boy. I agree, he can make you laugh.

Kallee is also getting very big and is really strong. Just have her wrap her hand around your fingers and you will see. What a lucky family we are to have two great kids. I sometimes feel guilty because we were so blessed.

Kallee did get a cold and it has been hard for her to sleep at night, but she seems to be fighting it well and does not let it affect her mood too much. She was my savior as the Angels lost to the Red Sox in game 4, if she was not on my lap at the time smiling at me with not a care in the world the game could have caused serious damage... instead I just kissed her head when the game was over and played with both my kids and went to bed... then cried....

Kallee visiting Grandma on her Birthday

Kallee got to spend a few hours with Grandma Lee on her Birthday Tuesday. It was a great time in which we got Subway and talked and watched Kallee and Jayden. Kallee showed off her ability to pick things up and move the toy from her left hand to her right. She has very strong hands.

Last night Kallee ended up on her belly and tried to crawl. She could get her knees under her, but Kallee would not move her arms so she just ended up "scooching" a little bit on her chin. She is still not a fan of being on her belly.

She has been full of smiles lately and even giggles at Jayden. I think Jayden is her favorite right now.

Kallee Gebers turns 5 months today

Kallee is already 5 months old. It seems like we had just brought he home a few weeks ago. She is growing so fast. She has no problem rolling to her belly. But still does not roll over the other way yet. We are working with her on that part. She is already 15 pounds, and she is very long too. I think she looks so good and happy most of the time.

Kallee and Alison went on their first girls weekend up to Chewelah and had a wonderful time. Janet was a wonderful host and everyone was impressed that Kallee did not cry much but was rather good natured, smiling and having a wonderful time. Of course if you know the the women in the family you can see why she was happy. We are blessed to be part of such a adventurous and joyful family who really really care about each other.

Kallee is a very good natured girl. Though when she came home she let me know that I was the one who got to listen to the cries because I am her father. That is my job.

Happy 5th Month Kallee and only one more month to go before real food... mmmm Rice cereal!!

Kallee Gebers and her penchant for standing.

My daughter Kallee wants to grow up and now. She wants to stand up all the time. She is 4 and a half months and yet she can almost stand on her own. And no, I have not tried to let her go to see if she can.

Kallee also has really strong legs and hands. She has a great grip and she is working on holding onto toys. Kallee is still enjoying time with Grandpa and Grandma Gebers. She is always in a good mood at their place and turns sour when Daddy has to take her home.

Since I last e-mailed I think she has grown another half an inch. That means the Outside Hitter idea is still in play. Dad thinks that Kallee might be a lefty so blocking on hand would be perfect for her.

Kallee does have so many of my facial features, especially the "you are annoying me" look. I love that look. She had a great smile and will talk t you if you talk to her.

Pa Gebers took her to the bank and said that 5 people tried to kidnapper... of course that is true. Who would not want the cutest most perfect daughter in the world.

Kallee and the new era with Grandpa, and her 4 month check up

Kallee is an amazing little girl. She is so adaptable and has a very easy going disposition... unless you startle her then you are going to get it.

Kallee is now spending days with Grandpa Gebers. It is been a blessing that my father said the he wanted to take care of our daughter. Kallee so far has enjoyed it very much. She has been a Angel for Grandpa and gives big smiles to all those around.

Kallee is having no problems with bottles and that is very nice. We were both really nervous as August ended, but everything has worked out great with the bottle.

Kallee is now having no problems rolling over to her belly, in fact she does it very fast. She wants to stand, but I have not as of yet let her do it on her own. My father and I watched as Dad held her and she started making walking movements lift her left leg then her right leg. That was very impressive. I hope she waits to start walking though until 09.

Kallee also got to go see Dr. Everett at Three Rivers Medical for her 4 month check up. She was 60% in head size (up from 35%). That means that her brain is just growing. Her weight was 14 pounds and 9 oz. (70%) and her height was 24 inches, (89%). She is definitely growing like a weed. Alison and I are very happy to have boo in our lives. She makes our family complete.

Kallee and the Bottle and the Dad

Finally, after a couple of months of trying on and off... Kallee Christina decided it was ok to take a bottle. She adamantly refused it for so long. The screams were hard to take. We tried different holds and bottles and finally she said Ok. It started with 1 once and then 2 and now it is as much as you will give her.

I had to give the bottle to her because they say that the mother should not. It was not a fun adventure at all. But we got it done. I was taking Kallee to Alison 3 times a week twice a day for a month or so to feed, but now that is over..

She is growing into a such a beautiful person. This week she did the roll over from her back to her belly, I think about 4 days before Jayden did it. She is so competitive....

Kallee and summer time

Kallee Gebers and a 50th Anniversary

It was Nice to get out of town with the family and we visited Chewelah, WA and Janet and Rolly. The Goulet Family was all there to Celebrate Rolly and Janets's 50th Anniversary. It was a great time and we had a lot of fun. Kallee had some great baby watchers the whole time and she definately enjoyed the time. There was a Lightning strike at the farm and a Large Pine tree was killed. We heard the strike and the thunder from our Hotel room as it shook the building and caused a minor power outage. It was memorable. Kallee got to dance with her mom and was a perfect little girl the whole weekend. We are so blessed that we have two children that go on trips so well.

Kallee Christina Gebers and The LA Angels

Kallee on her 3-month birthday was happy to find out the trade of Teixeira to The angels.. here are some pics of her in her Angels Uniform.

Kallee and facial features

Kallee is so cute!! She is trying to copy your sounds. Kallee will coo with you if you do it to her as well as making a little tongue movement. I am trying now to get here to make a buzzing sound with her tongue and lips. She smiles so big when Mommy comes in to see her in the morning. It is so cute. She is still sleeping through the night and gets up around 7. Such a good baby... we are so blessed to have her in our lives.

Kallee in July, what a lovely Baby

Kallee has been so awesome in July. Kallee was not allowed outside too much this summer because of the skin rashes she had at the beginning of June, but has been out. We have been to the Balcom's Pool to visit them as well as to the Kennewick Library to play at the water pool. I want to thank the City of Kennewick for such awesome playgrounds. Great Job, now we need an aquatic center. wink.

Kallee was a very good baby until 7 at night when she would start screaming. it lasted until bedtime, then she would sleep till about 6. Now, she only cries when she is constipated or if she is tired.

Kallee is still not taking a bottle. This means that Daddy and Jayden need to take her to Alison's office to feed twice a day. It is somewhat of a trip, but Jayden and I either get lunch or go to the store or to the park. It makes for a interesting day.

No pacifier stays in her mouth either, but she has learned to suck her thumb so we are hoping that this becomes a chance to feed her a bottle.

August is coming so we will see what it brings us.

Kallee and Baseball

Kallee is going to love when she looks back as these pictures,,,

Kallee also has more jersey's to wear and I will keep this updated.

We had a wonderful July4th at Boyd and Emily and Kallee was thrilled as many people held her and made her day. Kallee is right now very high maintenence... she likes to be held... a lot.

But she is a beautiful little girl isn't she... Smiles.

Kallee Christina Gebers 2008

Kallee went to the Doctor today for her 2 month appointment today and here are the measurements. She was 23 inches which makes her at 74 Percentile. Kallee head size was 38.3 centemeters or 37th percentile. Kallee weighed 12 pounds 6 ounces which is 86 percentile.

That is a good eating baby.

Kallee and the Summer

So far the summer is awesome but tiring. Kallee's rashes are almost gone and she is not giving smiles and talking a little too. She is a beautiful girl. She is sleeping constantly to 5 and then sleeps again to at least 8:30.

Kallee and Alison and I went to Kennewick Library's Park and had a wonderful time. She is more interested right now in seeing EVERYTHING. Her head and eyes are constantly moving. She is very strong already moving her head and back and can almost hold herself up.

Good Baby

My poor daughter and her skin.

Since the start of June Kallee has been having issues with her skin. It sucks.

She is getting very red rashes that look a lot like hives. They have travled from her face through her chest and all over.... We think it could be either heat rash, and allergy, or rosella which is fever induced. The blessing is that it does not seem to bother Kallee much. But it looks bad and she has had some issues with rashes caused by the hormones in Alison's milk.

But Kallee is starting to sleep longer at night. Like the last couple of days it has been 4, the 2, then 6:45 in the morning... that was a good night.

She is a very godo baby until 6-9 pm when it is stay up and be cranky time.

But we survive and that is what it is all about.

I cannot believe how she is changing so fast...

Kallee Month 2

Kallee is now 10.5 pounds and is growing almost 2.5 inches in the first month. I am hoping that means that she is going to be a tall outside hitter... for volleyball. She also had a wonderful baby shower put together by Karen and it was so nice. Kallee was given some very lovely clothes, cool books, toys, some tummy medication to help her sleep, hair products, and a lot of love. I want to thank Vanessa and Steve as well as Karen and Butch for sharing their family with us. Also thank you to all who made Conconully 2008 such a wonderful experience..

Sleep is hit and miss with Kallee Christina & Conconully

Kallee and Sleep have been hit and miss lately. We have been up and down with it. This week is getting better as is goes and last night she slept till 3:30 after going to bed at 9. That is the best yet.

Last Week we wend to Conconully, WA which is by Omak, WA. Kallee and I the first night drove all over the Oakanagan Mountains trying to get some sleep. It was a long night but the Auntie Grandma'a Julie, Karen, Janet, and Nancy were awesome.

It was wonderful to see family and I have to admit, Kallee was a great traveler for her first long trip. I am looking forward to many more family trips up there.

Kalle has a very bad rash righ now under her chin and it is moving through her neck. It looks bad but the doctors think that it will go away soon.

Boo's is Growing like the Spring time flowers

Boo had another weighing today and she is GROWING so fast. She is already 20.5 inches. Kallee weighs 9 pounds and 1 ounce. It is amazing, you can see it in her clothes and how they fit now.

Kallee is also sleeping ok. She still has problems with coughing and a stuffy nose which wakes her up as does her voracious appetite. She got to spend a lot of time with Grandma and Grandpa Lee over the weekend and they were thrilled about that.

I am hoping soon that she gets into a 5 hour at a time sleeping habit for the nightime... but for now,,, it is every 3 hours.

We are getting ready to take her on a trip to Conconully so we will see how she does on her first road trip. Fingers crossed.

Week 2

So far Kallee is an ok sleeper. She most definitely likes sleeping on mommy or daddy more than on here back. We are still a little nervous about leaving her on her belly. That is not what we want to do yet. You know the whole CRIBS thing.

Kallee is still not big on burbing, so she gets an upset stomach very easily. That is too bad because is causes her painful gas.

But she is so awesome to have around. I love the quiet time spent together as well as just watching her.

She is already 19.5 inches and 7 pounds 12 ounces. She is finally filling out the newborn clothes that looked so big on her a week ago.

I cannot believe she is already growing up.

Kallee Comes Home

On Friday may 2nd Kallee finnally made it home. We brougth her over to Grandpa and Grandma Gebers house so that Grandpa got to see her for the first time. He has not been feeling well the past week and so this was the first time he got to see his granddaughter. It was great to have grandparents that care so much for their grandkids.

Kallee had a pretty good first night at home. The second one was a little bit harrier. But we have made it through. Kallee seems to be a good eater so she seems to be very unhappy when she is up. I am sure that will change but we will see.

Day 1 for our 1st Daughter... Kallee Christina

Today started at 4:30 as we got ready to go to the hospital.. We did not bring as much stuff as the time before because we are wiser and know that things just get in the way.

Alison had blood taken about 5:45 and at 6:15 the people came in to prep her. She got an IV around 7 and then had to sign paperwork. At 7:45 they team started the Spinal tap and all the preperations. I did not watch the baby being born this time as I stayed with Alison behind the vail. It was not very long after that the baby was born. It is a daughter, our first daughter.

She was 7 pounds and 6 ounces and she is 18.5 inches long. Unlike Jayden at the beginning Kallee did not mind letting everyone know she was not happy. She is a beautiful baby with some hair and a perfect round face. She rated a 9 9 on the apgar scale which is supposed to be very good.

I got to watch as the took measurements and cleaned Kallee up and got her ready for seeing Alison for the first time. Alison did get to see a little bit of Kallee in the OR. But she got to hold Kallee at around 9.

Kallee has already done some feeding and is sleeping right now...

What an awesome feeling. I have a daughter

Baby Showers and Gifts

Boo was given a baby shower by Emily this past weekend. Boo got some great gifts from many nice people. Clothes, monitors, Blankets (Some AWESOME hand made blankets, toys and Room supplies.)

Thank you's go out to Emily, Debbie Tesch, Ella Skoubo, Fred and Carlyon, Niocole, Brandt and Christine, Dick and Connie, My Parents, the staff at NW CPA Group, and so many more.

It is so nice to know how many people care for our family and care about our #1 daughter. I feel very blessed.

The Final Weeks... Countdown

We are nearing the last few weeks of the pregnancy and Alison is happy that is true. She is getting very uncomfortable and Boo is very very active.

Alison finished washing many clothes and putting away Jayden's old clothes so that his room is nearly ready for full occupancy.

We have set up the guest bedroom so that it is really a guest bedroom. That way Grandma and Grandpa Lee can stay there when I am at Tennis State.

Boo Has Her room and is coming soon

January 2008

I find myself up late at night talking and praying to my baby boo. I am not one of those who enjoys talking to the belly of his wife so I like to do my talking at night when all is quiet. I want Boo to know how much she means to me and I wish for health and happiness for the baby. I keep thinking about how it will be different having a daughter and the unknown of a little girl. Jayden was much easier as I understood boys. But a baby girl is a whole different matter.

Boo could not ask for a better older brother. He will be her protector and her friend. Jayden will be a good brother as he is a good son.

Boo is getting very active in her mothers belly. She is kicking and moving around now a lot. We have not moved Jayden out of the baby’s room yet because we need to think of a theme for his room. It should be soon though.

From a guy’s perspective; what is it with my wife insisting I talk to the baby. I hate talking to her stomach.. It is not my kind of thing. I have talked to Boo though I will do so in the future as well, because I apparently have no choice in the matter.

Boo is already getting very nice clothes to wear from Grandma Lee. Boo has two dresses and an outfit so far. Our little girl is going to look very good in her new clothes.

February 2008

We have spent the last few days watching boo bounce around in Alison’s tummy. She definitely does not like sitting in one spot. You can see that she just loves the movement and is very active. Alison has started calling her Thumper. Boo is around 2 pounds now and is developing just fine says the doctor.

On Valentines Day Alison got to drink a Very bad Orange Sugar drink to see if the blood sugar level is good. Baby's heart beat was good, and the doc measured Alison’s stomach. Alisonis supposed to start doing the
kick count (make sure that the baby is moving more than 10 times in an hour). And we preregistered for the hospital. Boo is getting closer and closer to us.

Boo is definitely growing. She is about half the size she will be when she is born. Alison and the doctors think that everything is going very well and she is being a very good mother.

March 2008

This weekend was a strong weekend for Boo and her room. We were able to pick out her theme and colors. The theme is called Lady Bug and we got it from babySuperMall .com (Free Shipping!) The colors are red, a soft pink, and green. It makes my wife happy. We got the whole thing including a wall border and the window dressings. I hope the girl likes pink.

We also got a dual stroller on sale! So now we are ready to move both of them around with no problemo. I think we are almost prepared for our daughters arrival in terms of purchses. Now we just have to get the room in order.

We have also been given some very nice sets of clothing from the Kim and Vic and Kellee and Jared and a few awesome people. It is so nice to have so many people that care about our family and it makes me think of how lucky we are. We are blessed so much by the love of others. So if you have helped our family out in any way, Thank You so much. I will keep you in my prayers that blessings will tossed your way as well.

As soon as we paint and get Boo’s Room ready I will send out pictures. Meanwhile Boo is getting even more active. Alison thinks that Boo is doing jumping Jacks in her belly. I think Boo is ready for the world and wants to see it soon. We are looking at around 5-6 weeks before the big day.

It is very exciting.

Spring Break 2008

Alison had another appointment and the Boo has dropped and is supposedly head down. We will see. Alison says that boo likes to kick her a lot so I am hoping she has good leg muscles for jumping so she can become and outside hitter. If she is like her dad she will want to hit off hand (volleyball).

Boos Room Is Finally taking shape!! Boos Room:

Boo Is a Girl!!!

This is the Official Announcement that we are having a Girl. Jayden is excited and Connie (Grandma) is absolutely delighted. After three grandsons, she has her first granddaughter. Madeline, Jayden and Boo’s (The pre birth name) cousin, is thrilled too, she wants another girl to play with.

My mother and father are also thrilled, they are ready to bake and play and especially with my dad, do grand adventures.

I am of course thrilled and scared to death..

I mean a Baby girl… My baby girl.,, I am going to have some difficulties with this. I mean with Jayden a good swat is easy, but with Boo……… Yikes. And what about curfew’s and BOYS!!!!

Excitedly Scared is what I am feeling right now.

Well have to get ready for the season so Bye fo now
