Kallee and November and October of 2009

November and October were hard and easy for Kallee. Kallee was sick on and off a lot with stomach and fever. She went through it like a trooper and near the end of November she is getting better.
I took Kallee to four different clinics and doctors and hopefully we have got everything under control. The year of the flu has not been a pleasant one.
Kallee is also becoming very adept at working with her Red Ryder. She is very good now at turning and moving with it and riding with her brother while he rides his bike. She is teething also and is about to have a full set of teeth in her mouth.
Her Vocabulary now includes; Mama, dada, nana, Jay-Jay, more, ba-ba, hey, hoooo, whoo, Hi, and a few others. She is still an expert of the non-verbal communication, working with her hands and her looks. She is fitting finally in to her 18 month clothes and might even start getting into 24 month? fingers crossed because I would like her to be tall enough to be an outside hitter/setter.
Kallee loves to travel and move around. She enjoys sight-seeing and is happiest in a stroller or a shopping cart. She does not mind being in the car anymore because she is on the move. She likes meeting people and new people but on her terms. She has to ?warm up? to people and then she is fine. Church has been deemed acceptable now to Kallee and she is letting us leave her there. So we can listen to the sermons, which is a good thing.
This Thanksgiving was very nice. Kallee ate some of the pie and other items but was still not fond of the traditional Thanksgiving feast. She does like the sausage from the stuffing and the Jello, but not much more? typical child. She also helped decorate, undecorated, and re-decorate the kids Christmas tree. Jayden and Kallee and Mommy did a wonderful Job. The Tree is in the office so that people who drive by can see it.
The next Part is included in both blogs (Kallee?s and Jayden?s) so you only have to read it once:

?
In a time and a season where joy and happiness along with stress and spending combine with a spice of reverence, a dash of love, and a whole lot of prayer and praise to the Lord is the time and place for Remembrance and Thanksgiving.
It was one of the best years I can remember. The kids have grown and have become little people. Kallee has been a huge blessing and has made life very enjoyable. She has so many great facial expressions that make me smile when I see them. Both Jayden and Kallee have been so much fun to take places because they love adventure. We have been so fortunate to have traveled to great places this year with the kids and family. Here are some of the best times and joyful places that I can remember:
? Thomas the Tank Engine in Hood River
? Being on the Boats of the Hawaiian Chieftan in Pasco
? Easter at Both Grandparents
? Kallee?s First Birthday and the LadyBug Cake
? Jayden?s Birthday and the Pin the Tail on the Thomas the Tank Engine
? Bar-B-ques and playing at the water parks
? Lake Chelan?(even being sick they were so cute and fun)
? My 40th Surprise birthday (Alison that meant so much to me, thank you)
? Vegas (What happens in veags,, unless this year and you are the Youngs)
? The new classroom that Jayden is in, the apple tree room and the excellent teachers
? Miss Tara with both Jayden and Kallee
? Halloween and the awesome costumes and the bundles of Candy Jayden came home with.
? Thanksgiving with Family
? The times that Jayden and Kallee have spent with their Cousins? they are great with our kids and make Jayden and Kallee very happy
? The ?Should have been a No-Hitter? 1-hitter with Dick
? Our Summer Lunches at Roxy?s Diner
? My father?s tender love and care for our daughter.
? Both sets of grandparents for all they do for Jayden and Kallee
? Boyd and Emily inviting us over for fun and water play and 4th of July which was great this year except for the fireworks.
But the best, very best part of the year was going to the beach and the Zoo. I do not think I could have asked for a better time. The kids were so in awe of everything and loved walking around and enjoying the scenes. The Zoo was exciting, the Beach was calm and restful and Seaside provided so many fun things to do including, trains, merry-go-rounds, visit to the doctor, the very lovely suite and all the amenities, the beach, which really was so fun watching Kallee dig and Jayden running in and out of the ocean, the food, the taffy, the old time soda, the overall feel of a true vacation. When you can go on and trip and when everyone leaves thinking that they could stay a few more days,,, that is a true vacation. So many great memories this year? so much fun, 2009 was one to remember.

Kallee pics

These are some of the pictures from Halloween. We did a corn maze and trick or treating and playing with cousins. Kallee loves candy, candy, and more candy. The stickier the better.
She loves to make a big mess every time she eats...

I will hopefully be able to take more pictures and write more during the holiday season.

Kallee's Trip To the Doctor

Here are the Stats taken at the doctors Office

Height 33 1/2" 93%
Weight 22 lbs. 14.5 oz 29%
Head circumference 47 cm 64%

She was so much easier to take to the doctor compared to Jayden. Of course Kallee hated the shot and thought she was going to die.

She is so dramatic in everything she does,,, it is what makes her very lovable.

The Fall of 09

The fall of 2009 has been very fun and rather dismal at the same time.

Kallee is growing very well and she has her 18 month appointment today. Her communication skills are magnifying and she gets her points across very well.

She uses her hands and gestures for what she wants or who she wants. She has said words like hi and bye and hey and J-J (Jayden) and Momma and dadda,, and baba... She also grabs your hand when she wants something.

Kallee likes to play outside and go for trips now. She was not the best traveler early on. But now she loves them and wants to go to new places. She is also getting into riding her red rider bike and she and her brother ride together in the driveway almost everyday.

The tough part has been that she has been sick a lot these past two months. We have had to stay home a lot with her with the flu and other virus problems. She has been a trouper thought and is finally getting healthy.

Which is good because it was Halloween this weekend and we had a wonderful time. Kallee was a LadyBug (pics to come soon). She dressed up and went to Grandma Gebers house and then did some trick or treating. She did great going up and getting the candy. She LOVES sweets,, we have to watch that. Her favorites are fruits and licorice, ketchup and bar-b-que sauce. She will eat her veggies and she is much more interested in pasta type dishes, much more than her brother. She has no problem mixing up all her food and eating, unlike her separatist brother.

She does not mind getting into your personal space, rather she enjoys being close to people. She throws the best tantrums, screaming and crying and throwing her face into the floor and kicking.

Her favorite things to do are to go for walks and play with her brother. She loves to be chased and she likes to suck her thumb with one finger in her mouth.

She has started the tradition of tearing her boarder off the wall,,, just like her brother, so we had to move her bed away from the walls. She is also a very good helper with the laundry, placing clothes in the washer and dryer.

She has been a blessing in our lives and I know that both Alison and I, though as tired as we are, would not want it any other way.

Kallee Boo-Boo's has added joy to our lives.
